The ‘fit’ between a client and a PR consultancy has to be right. A client with a multi-tiered bureaucratic briefing and approvals structure may suit some consultancies, but not others; a sharp, pro-active client with defined requirements will need a consultancy that can progress the strategy at a similar pace. Fit is critical to a successful relationship.

Here’s BluePRINT’s process for ‘fit’ evaluation and engagement:

  • BluePRINT meets with the client. The client outlines the objectives. (No charge)

  • Client and BluePRINT identify the opportunities and constraints as well as execute product or service confidentiality agreements if required. (No charge)

  • BluePRINT evaluates its capacity to deliver on the objectives. Requirements and resources are quantified. BluePRINT then formally responds and tables the strategic plan – communications, with the client. (No charge)

  • Client and BluePRINT confirm/amend the strategic plan. (No charge)

  • The agreed plan is costed and presented to the client for approval. Work flows are agreed. (No charge) The plan remains the property of BluePRINT in this phase.

  • The client decides whether to appoint BluePRINT in accord with the agreed plan and costings provided.

  • Letters of appointment referencing the plan are exchanged.

  • The program is implemented and the results quantified.

  • The strategic plan – communications, is monitored and amended as appropriate.

In decades of marketing and communication I have yet to see a credentials document, self-assessment or profile that does not portray the proponent in anything other than the most glowing terms – and quite often, tainted further by aggrandisement.

BluePRINT is the only consultancy we have found which understands the property industry and its governing legislation as well as the end-products which we market.
